Summary
The position is responsible for the installation, startup assistance, and servicing of Glassline Corp. machinery of various types. These may be glass processing machines, food processing machines, or packaging machines, depending on the Division that requires the work. Installation may involve marking centerlines, manipulating machines into position, leveling, anchoring, reassembly, re-wiring, re-plumbing, etc. to bring the machine to operational readiness. After installation, the technician may be involved in troubleshooting any problems found after installation. Besides installation, existing machines my need to be serviced. This may include visits to the Customer’s site for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting problems, making recommendations for parts that are required, and generally helping the Customer with any problems that they may have with the machine, within the power and knowledge of the technician. When not in the field, the technician may be required to help assemble machinery, startup machinery on Glassline Corporation’s factory floor, and training of other individuals.
Essential Functions
Travel to customer plant site/s to assist Customer with install, and starting up machine. Test machine to Customer satisfaction. Report issues to staff for corrective action and/or future improvements.
Travel to Customer site for machinery service, maintenance, training, etc.
Assemble machinery according to blueprints and pneumatic prints
Wire machinery to control panels according to schematics
Assist Engineering/programmer with startup of machines
Train Customer or other Glassline team members
Make recommendations to Customers for parts that they will need and relay that information to Sales for quoting.
Ensure Customers are completely satisfied with the machines.
Report working and traveling hours via a Service Report to HR, and obtain Customer feedback via form.

Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with equipment
Precision alignment, including use of indicators and other types of instruments needed for installation, alignment and calibration of machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and workdays are typically Monday through Friday, first shift, according to Divisional work schedule. Flexibility is necessary due to varying Customer requirements. Occasional evening, 3rd shift, and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Travel is REQUIRED. Travel durations vary, but are typically one week. International travel may be required which can have extended durations due to the travel time. Travel and meal expenses and certain other expenses are paid, as well as other bonus compensation(but not guaranteed). Travel estimation is 10-50% depending on various factors.
Required Education and Experience
Technical Associates Degree, preferred, in Mechanical/Electrical Tech.
Minimum 2 years of machinery building and/or service experience is required, over 5 years preferred

The Facility Maintenance employee is responsible for performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment. Their duties include preventative maintenance activities, including maintaining stock levels of materials/parts as may be needed to minimize downtime, all machinery repairs including mechanical issues, plumbing, wiring, etc., as well as possible facilities upgrades. As/if needed, they may be called upon to assist with machine building activities in one of the company divisions building automated machinery.
Essential Functions
Creating and/or maintaining a list of equipment and a preventative maintenance schedule.
Maintaining stock levels of maintenance type parts used regularly.
Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair
Repairs to facility equipment such as lighting, fans, dust collectors, compressors, blowers, other motors, etc.
Assist with repairing CNC and other types of machining equipment
Repairing broken or leakage plumbing.
Repairing or installing new electrical outlets, wiring, etc. up to and including 480vac. voltage levels.
Maintaining the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly
Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries

Summary
The Machine Assembly position is responsible for the building of Glassline Corp. machinery of various types. These may be glass processing machines, food processing machines, or packaging machines, depending on the Division that requires the work. Machine assembly requires reading of blueprints, organizing of parts, and assembling parts onto the machines according to the blueprints. Basic mechanic knowledge is required, to select proper tools, hardware, fasteners, threadlock, etc. Many of this knowledge can be trained. Capable assemblers would be tasked with precision alignment, using indicators, as required for the machine. Additional tasks for assembly include pneumatic/water plumbing and electrical wiring as per the individual’s capabilities. Assemblers often assist with the installation of the machines at the Customer site.

Ensure parts are well aligned, and properly secured.
